May Ghent Walkabout Community Clean Up!

Put on your oldest clothes, grab your gloves and extra people and join us for the second Ghent Walkabout Community Clean Up. Last month’s inaugural event was a great success and we’re gearing up for a new location and more trash eradication opportunities. Keep Norfolk Beautiful (KNB) supplies great grabbers, bags and vests.

We’re meeting on the corner of Stockley Gardens and Olney (on the Garden Side) before we split up and attack the trash. Children are welcome, if they are under 14 they need a parent or guardian accompanying them, and if 14 and over they need a parent or guardian to sign off to give us permission to put them to work : )

It’s a short event, from 8:00am to 9:30am, but last month we cleaned up over 120 lbs. of trash from Ghent.

See you soon!!!

We are proposing that GNL and Norfolk Master Gardener Association volunteers plant trees and shrubs at three locations along the Hague, between the seawall and the public walkway.
