Our Second Adopt A Spot cleanup in Stockley Gardens
Join Us for Our Second Adopt A Spot Cleanup at Stockley Gardens!
The Ghent Neighborhood League is excited to invite you to our second Keep Norfolk Beautiful Adopt A Spot cleanup at beautiful Stockley Gardens on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
We'll be joined again by our friends from Hope House Foundation, whose volunteers have become wonderful partners in caring for one of Norfolk's most treasured public spaces. Their participation makes this event even more meaningful.
Whether you can stay for the entire event or just lend a hand for a little while, your time will make a real difference. Together, we'll pick up litter, freshen the gardens, and help keep Stockley Gardens beautiful for neighbors, visitors, and future generations.
This cleanup marks our second official Adopt A Spot event at Stockley Gardens. Once we complete two more cleanups, Keep Norfolk Beautiful will install a permanent Adopt A Spot recognition sign in the center of Stockley Gardens honoring both the Ghent Neighborhood League and Hope House Foundation for our shared commitment to keeping Norfolk beautiful through volunteer service.
Stockley Gardens belongs to everyone, and caring for it is a wonderful way to give back to our community. Community cleanups don't just remove litter—they strengthen neighborhoods, build friendships, and demonstrate what can be accomplished when people come together with a shared purpose.
No experience is necessary. Keep Norfolk Beautiful will provide litter grabbers, safety vests, gloves, and trash bags—you simply bring comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and a willingness to help.
Bring your family, invite a friend, and spend an afternoon making a visible difference in one of Norfolk's most beloved parks. Every bag of litter collected brings us one step closer to earning our Adopt A Spot sign—and, more importantly, to preserving Stockley Gardens as a welcoming place for everyone.
