Celebrate Independence Day the Ghent way at the Ghent Neighborhood League’s 4th of July Bike Parade, starting at 10:00 AM at Fred Heutte Garden.
This joyful, child-friendly community tradition invites everyone to decorate their bikes, trikes, wagons, and scooters in red, white, and blue, then cruise together on a relaxed ride around the Ghent neighborhood. After the parade, we’ll finish at Stockley Gardens for make-your-own ice cream sundaes, sweet treats, and plenty of smiles.
We’ll be awarding prizes for the best decorated bikes, but the real focus is fun, togetherness, and creating memories with neighbors of all ages. This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate America’s Semiquincentennial (250th anniversary)—a perfect moment to come together in community and mark the holiday in a joyful, inclusive way.
